There is much more history to update, the DNRC hearing, the “Yes for Flathead’s Farms and Water” Egan Slough petition etc.
Until we get this section fully updated, the posts contain most of the historical information.

The DEQ public hearing was over Aug 2016 and we had over 300 people show up to listen and to be heard. It was standing room only! Look under “News” for the media coverage.
After a nearly one year long wait, DEQ responded to our comments:
See this link: DEQ MAWC Comments
We feel that DEQ failed to adequately address our comments.
DEQ intends to issue the DEQ permit on 1 Nov 2017.
We must take them to task…
Thank you for your support!

Water for Flathead’s Future shared a booth with Citizens for a Better Flathead at the Northwest Montana Fair, at the County Fairgrounds on August 17th – 21st 2016.
This was a terrific opportunity to inform the public about the issues concerning the proposed Creston water bottling plant. Thank you to all who participated.
WFF had a successful showing at Bigfork 4th of July parade…
[vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=’5′ up=” down=”]
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in our 4th of July parade activities.
[vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=’5′ up=” down=”]
We had a table by the parade with a big cooler of delicious, local water available free to passersby. We made lots of contacts, passed out flyers, brochures, and blue ribbons to many who stopped by for a drink, and we received lots of positive comments on our efforts.
[vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=’5′ up=” down=”]
We also had a terrific presence in the parade. The banner Mike and Jan made looked fantastic, and all the marchers had great picket signs. I think we had the largest contingent of any of the parade entries. Other participants reported that everyone our volunteers spoke with, both in Kalispell and Bigfork were supportive of our efforts.
[vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=’5′ up=” down=”]
We have also received several generous donations, and are well on our way to earning the full $15,000 we need to get our matching grant. We just need a few more donations (of any amount) to get there, so if you want to contribute to support the legal costs necessary to protect the water of Flathead Valley, it’s not too late.
[vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=’5′ up=” down=”]
We can’t begin to THANK YOU enough for your contributions both of time and of money.

With your help, we can win this fight!

Protecting our ground and surface water is worth fighting for, to protect it from those who would attempt to exploit it, be they the potentially largest water bottling factory in the state or other such greed that values profit over the common good. We are local farmers, homeowners, sportsmen and sportswomen, and business owners who believe in the prudent conservation of our farms and water for current and future generations.
[vc_separator type=’transparent’ position=’center’ color=” thickness=’10’ up=” down=”]
We need your generous financial support to continue this essential work. Your donation says our water security and our rural way of life is worth fighting for!
